TrancePlants is a project that has been under way since 2001. We have opened our doors to a larger public since 2006, which marks the opening of our E-Bay store. Since then, the satisfaction of our clients, the immense pleasure we take in working with people and herbs brought us to flourish and grow into a well rooted tree, with an amazing reputation over the web! We are now in bliss to still be sharing herbs and passion with you all!

Our values

For us, social and global responsibility is an extremely important factor. The respect of all humans, societies and the environment everywhere around us is not only essential to our good functioning, but also to the bettering of the planetary condition. We think it is important to help the people and communities that are in need throughout the world. Our plants often come from remote regions of South America, Africa, Thailand, etc… Many of these communities are in need, and our role is to respect them, to give them positive energy as well as positive business. Many of these people live from the harvesting of our plants, and it is our duty to treat them better and offer them more than what they would usually get.

The respect of human beings also shows in the quality of our products. All of our products are organic, and we are always looking out to obtain more and more products that are certified organic. Our products are grown without chemical fertilizer, pesticide or GMO. They are never irradiated nor treated with chemical agents. They are dried traditionally and preserved naturally. Throughout the whole process, our plants are never in contact with any kind of chemical agents

The respect of the environment also holds a very important place in our hearts; that is why most of our operations are sustainable and eco-responsible. We reduce as much as possible printing, we print only on 100% recycled paper, when possible we ship in compostable packaging, we are always looking to eliminate the use of new plastics, we reduce transportation as much as possible, we prioritize local producers and the nearest producers possible, we prioritizing the purchase of reused materials, we recycle and compost everything we can, we don't use any chemical product, we don't use single use items, and carry out many more sustainable actions on a daily basis.

The maintenance of high quality standards on each and every level of our operations i also a very important value which we embody on a daily basis.

Positive impact

When buying on TrancePlants, you are co-creating a positive impact on the Earth and its inhabitants !

At TrancePlants, not only do we find it important to have sustainable operations, but it's also essential for us to give back to the Earth and to encourage the improvement of the Earth’s condition. For this reason, we offer 5% of our profits to the Camino Verde Organization, which helps conserve the nature and people of the Amazonian jungle.

Considering the rate at which the Amazonian jungle is being cut down, we think it is urgent to act consequently and to save as much of it as we can! Experts say that 1 1/2 acre of rainforest is lost every second with alarming consequences for both developing and industrial countries. Rainforests once covered 14% of the Earth's land surface; now they only cover about 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years.

Ancient forests maintain the balance of life on Earth. They are inhabited by around two-thirds of the world's land-based species of plants and animals. The remaining parts of forests influence day-to-day weather and they also help keep the climate stable over time by storing huge amounts of carbon. Logging and burning forests releases carbon into the atmosphere and contributes largely to global warming and climate change.

Not only does the rainforest hold carbon and contribute to the Earth’s balance, but it also holds a massive amount of biodiversity that is rapidly lost as more trees are cut down. Experts say that we are loosing 137 species of plants, insects and animals every day due to rainforest deforestation. At this rate, nearly half of the world's species of plants, animals and microorganisms will be destroyed or severely threatened over the next 25 years! The biodiversity that is killed in the rainforest due to deforestation is not only a sad loss for the Earth, but also for humans. Many plants in these grounds have the power to heal us from physical, emotional and spiritual sicknesses. While 25% of Western pharmaceuticals are derived from rainforest ingredients, less that 1% of these tropical trees and plants have been tested by scientists.

And again, not only are we loosing the Earth’s balance and biodiversity, but industrial logging in the rainforests makes local people and farmers poorer. Abusive logging creates an unbalance in the local economy and often destroys the source of economy for local people and it even destroys the home of indigenous peoples. Along with this, a powerful ancestral knowledge is being lost.

We cannot accept this! This is why a part of our mission is to help the Amazonian jungle, which is a rainforest; in the goal of preserving the existing biodiversity, to help local people live better and to keep the planet alive and breathing. That said, we give 5% of all our profits to the Camino Verde Organization, helping directly the conservancy of the Amazonian jungle. Camino Verde is a United States-based 501-c-3 tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to: Protecting and understanding biodiversity in the Peruvian Amazon; Protecting indigenous rights, autonomy, and wisdom; and spreading sustainable ways of life and encouraging fair, sustainable development.

Many factors guided our decision to choose Camino Verde. We followed their project for a little while, and we saw great work and improvement in the regions where they have worked. They work directly on the spot in Peru, and we support this human-to-human approach. We feel that their work is effective because they work directly with local people and directly where the Amazon needs healing. We also like the fact that it's a smaller organization, making sure our donations will be directly and entirely used to create projects and help the Amazon, with no percentage lost due to administrative and infrastructure fees that bigger organizations have to pay. We feel like our (your) donations will be used for real work; directly and efficiently for the improvement of the planet’s condition, of the Amazon, and of the people living in it. Our contributions will help them plant more trees, conserve more land, help more people, and preserve more medicinal and ancestral knowledge.
