What a delightful smell.... What an amazing plant! :D

Botanical name: Pedicularis densiflora

Other names: Indian Warrior

Family: Scrophulariaceae

Distribution: North America and potentially elsewhere

Origin : USA

Pedicularis densiflora, known commonly as Indian warrior, is a plant of the lousewort genus in the broomrape family. It is a beautiful perennial herb with stout, green or sometimes reddish or magenta stems and fern-shaped leaves, and long spikes of deep red to bright pink flowers with toothed petals. Indian Warrior is the most potent strain of Pedicularis species.

Very little is known about this particular pedicularis species. It’s been said that it was used by Native Americans medicinally, but we know of no historical shamanic or ritual use of this incense.
