American Waltheria was used in Hawaii for asthma, neuralgia, and a pain killer when mixed with other plants. It’s also commonly used in Africa and South America for pain, relaxing, inflammation, erectile dysfunction, diarrhea, dysentery, epilepsy, and asthma. The herb has been studied in the last years finding a therapeutic potential in the treatment of inflammation, malaria, infectious diseases and prevention of oxidative stress.
